Last Thursday, our Year 1's travelled to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Our captivated students had the opportunity to hand-feed kangaroos, meet koalas and engage with a wide variety of native Australian animals. This invaluable experience allowed the students the opportunity to see these healthy animals up close.

As part of their English assessment, they will write an information report on Koalas.

See some samples of what the students enjoyed.

Archer - 1B:
My favourite part was when we went to the sheep dog show because I love dogs. It was so cool to see her jump on the sheep’s back!
Shannon - 1K:
My favourite part was when we got to see lots of koalas and feed the kangaroos. I loved that because they looked so cute.
John – 1N:
My favourite part was jumping around with the kangaroos and feeding the baby joeys because I love them so much.
Liliana – 1A:
My favourite part was feeding the kangaroos and patting the koalas, they were so fluffy!
Maddi – 1H:
My favourite part was seeing and feeding the baby kangaroos, because they looked so cute, especially their eyes.
