Dear Parents and Carers

Thank you for your co-operation in the last few weeks with the ongoing COVID restrictions, particularly in regards to not entering the school grounds. Your support and co-operation has been greatly appreciated. The good news is that with the easing of restrictions, form next week, we can once again welcome parents and other visitors into our grounds.

Please see below a summary of the key things to be aware of and what that will look like for our school next week.

Communication from the Director General:

  • Parents/carers and visitors will now be allowed back on school sites, with the requirement they adhere to the ongoing direction regarding the wearing of masks. This means masks must be worn by all adults inside school buildings (unless they can stay 1.5m apart from other people) but may be removed outdoors, as long as they can keep 1.5 metres apart from other people.

  • Masks must be worn by staff unless they can stay 1.5 metres apart from other people. This applies to both indoors and outdoors.

  • Visitors and external providers including providers of extracurricular activities will now be permitted on school sites, with the requirement they adhere to the ongoing direction regarding the wearing of masks.

  • Assemblies and other large group activities including instrumental music groups, choirs, performances, extra curricula sporting activities, and dancing are permitted, adhering to COVID-19 health directions including wearing of masks.

THEREFORE NEXT WEEK:

  • We will no longer have staff doing gate duty.

  • We will have Assembly as per normal on Monday (staff and parents will still need to wear masks).

  • Choir and band rehearsals can now take place.

  • Book week Author visits will take place as planned.

  • The Year 2 excursion to the Museum will take place as planned.

  • Leap into Prep will take place as planned (on Tuesday morning).

In the meantime have a great weekend and thank you for your ongoing support of our great school

Regards
Robyn
